Pivot is a social enterprise that provides part-time, flexible and meaningful employment for people experiencing homelessness, all while creating beautiful jewellery.
Founder, Alex Moxley, spent nearly two years working alongside various organisations such as the YMCA and Crisis, coming up with solutions to help tackle homelessness in the UK. According to research from Shelter, there are 23,000 more people experiencing homelessness in England now than there were in 2016, bringing the total to 280,000. That’s over a quarter of a million people who don’t have a permanent place to live or, in some cases, are sleeping rough on the streets.
Every purchase you make from Pivot helps support someone who is currently experiencing homelessness and brings them one step closer to permanent accommodation. Each piece is handcrafted and, as a lovely personal touch, the presentation boxes are labeled with the name of the person who made the jewellery inside.
