2023 Project Pan Challenge Update #2

Another month has come and gone, which means we’re one month closer to Spring (halle-freakin-lujah!) and one month further into my 2023 Project Pan Challenge. If you missed it, I’m working on panning 23 project pan products this year as part of my ongoing (and seemingly never-ending) big makeup use-up.
So let’s jump into the update…

NYX Baked Blush – Wanderlust

That pan is growing…just very, very slowly. I’ve been using this blush consistently and, I have to say, I’ll be sad to see it go when I finally manage to finish it. But it’s quite pigmented and it doesn’t kick up much excess product, which means progress is slow on this one.

Physician’s Formula Bronze Booster – Light to Medium

Can I get a round of applause? I’ve panned my first project pan product of 2023! Sure, there wasn’t much left in this bronzer to begin with but it still feels good to completely use it up. And, what’s even more exciting is that I’m now down to just one powder bronzer in my collection. That’s such enormous progress considering that, when I started my big makeup use-up in 2020, I had 10!

NYX Pore Filler Primer

This is another example of slow but steady progress. I recently filmed a Project Pan GRWM video for my Youtube channel where I showed my makeup routine and how I’m working on using up all of these different products. In that video, I explained that, while I LOVE this primer for my under eyes, it doesn’t work well on my entire face. The oily skin around my nose simply cannot handle it! So I’m only using very small amounts of this at a time. Still, slow progress is better than no progress.

Tresemmé Split Remedy

I only wash my hair once or twice a week, which means I don’t have many opportunities to use this. And, to make things even worse, I usually completely forget about it! This is something I really need to work on. But I think considering all of those things, 4g isn’t bad progress.

Dove Essential Care Hand Cream

Firstly, let me just say that I’ve fallen in love with this hand cream! Secondly, I’m pleased with how much I’ve been able to use so far. At the beginning of February, I had 74g and now I’m down to 63g. At this rate, I should be able to finish this one off within the next couple of months.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream

Okay, I definitely get bragging rights for this one this month. At the beginning of February, I had 131g and now I’m down to 84g! I’m down 47g in just one month! I think that’s pretty good going and, if I can keep that up, I should be able to use up the rest of this one pretty quickly.

The Body Shop British Rose Body Yoghurt

I’ve been working on building this into my nighttime routine so I don’t forget to use it. I guess it’s paying off because I’ve used up nearly ten times as much as I did last month!

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Mask

Now that I’ve completely used up my bronzer, it’s time to cycle in something new. I took a look at my 2023 cosmetics inventory to see which categories were in most need of attention and realised that I still have way too many face masks. This Sand & Sky mask is one of my all-time favourites and I know my skin will thank me for using it more consistently.

Overall, I’m pleased with this month’s progress. But I’m still a heck of a long way away from panning 23 products in 2023.
