Christmas Bucket List 2019

christmas bucket list

Deck the halls and blast Mariah Carey for all to hear; the festive season is finally upon us! I’ve been patiently waiting to get into full Christmas mode since the first week of November and, now that it’s finally socially acceptable, I’m going to kick off December with a Christmas bucket list.

Before writing my 30 Before 30 List a few months ago, I was never a big fan of bucket lists. Maybe it’s the pessimist in me not wanting to set myself up to fail. But, since I’ve spent the last few years splitting my Decembers between the UK and the Middle East, I’ve found that Christmas seems to come and go before I can so much as stop to smell the gingerbread. So, to make sure I get around to all my favourite traditions and don’t miss anything out, this year I’m writing myself a Christmas bucket list, complete with all my festive favourites.

Today I’m sharing my Christmas bucket list with you lovely people so you can follow along too.

My Christmas Bucket List 2019

  1. Decorate the Christmas tree
  2. Get a gingerbread latte
  3. Donate to a Christmas toy appeal
  4. Watch A Muppet’s Christmas Carol
  5. Bake Christmas cookies
  6. Read A Christmas Carol
  7. Watch the Coca Cola Christmas advert
  8. Go iceskating
  9. Do a pre-Christmas declutter
  10. Visit a Christmas market

In the Youtube video I made to go along with this blog post, activity number 5 on my list completely vanished. I guess I was so excited that I lost the ability to read from a list. But here is the full list in all its (slightly underwhelming) glory.

I haven’t added anything too crazy and I’ve kept the list short, but these are some of my favourite Christmas traditions that I want to make sure I get around to this holiday season. Everyone has their own quirky Christmas traditions so now I’d love to know: what’s on your Christmas bucket list?
