My Spring Project Pan Finale | Project Pan 2020

April project pan update

The spring segment of my project pan challenge ended on the last day on June. Here we are now, midway through July and I think it’s only fair to hold my hands up and say that I’ve dragged my feet on writing this spring project pan finale post. What can I say? I’m four months into lockdown and all the days and weeks have started to blur into one. I can’t keep up with deadlines anymore. I can barely remember my own name.

But here it is – better late than never – a rundown of my project pan progress from June and a final lock at the products from the spring portion of my 2020 project pan challenge.

So how did I do?

1. Rimmel Kate Sculpting Cosmetic Set

It’s always slow going with powder products, but they’re even more challenging to work through when you’re only wearing makeup a few times a month. Since I’m still not going into work and spend most of my days barefaced in my pjs, trying to remember what the outside world looks like, I’m not getting as much use out of any of my makeup products as I usually would. I’m still a long way from hitting pan on this one.

2. Revlon Balm Stain in Honey

Sometimes you have to celebrate the small victories. This might actually be a minuscule victory given that I’ve only used up about 1mm of this lipstick this month, but it’s heading in the right direction.

3. Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Pink Spice

Slow progress with this one too, but I can see a bigger difference this month than I did in previous months. I just need to keep chipping away at it.

4. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Heather Shimmer

And, for the final lipstick in my project pan collection, you can see more barely-there progress. Again, it’s difficult to use up makeup products during a global pandemic when you’re confined to your home. That’s my excuse.

5. The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation in Dune

I did manage to use up this foundation in June. Finally – some real progress!  It was a tricky product to use up because the colour wasn’t quite right for me. I had to get a bit creative and mix it in with other foundations to make sure my body and head were the same shade. But eventually I managed to get to the end of it.

6. Wet  n Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Ticket to Brazil

I love having this bronzer in my project pan challenge because it’s just so satisfying. Each month I can see that pan growing bigger and it gives me a sense of accomplishment. Yes, I’m aware that using up bronzer is a ridiculous things to feel proud of, but I can’t help it.

7. Victoria’s Secret Fragrance Mist in Dream

I didn’t quite manage to finish off this fragrance mist by the time the spring project pan finale came around, but I used up the vast majority of it. With a few more weeks of consistent use, this should be finished.

8.Bath & Bodyworks Body Lotion in A Thousand Wishes

Another empty container! I managed to use up the last of this body lotion with time to spare. Now to begin tackling the other dozen or so lotions I have in my stockpile…

9. Revolution Fine Line Correcting Serum

And last, but not least, I used up my retinol serum too! For a while there I seemed that I’d never get to the bottom of this little bottle, but I’m able to add this to my modest list of success stories.

So, at the close of the spring portion of my project pan, I managed to use up 4 out of 10 items. Not exactly a groundbreaking result, but a big improvement on my winter project pan, during which I used up exactly…0 products.

And now onto summer! I’ll be switching in some new products I want to work on and trying to figure out how to get use out of my makeup…when I’m not actually wearing any makeup anymore. It’s going to be a challenge alight. I’ll report back at the end of the month with my next project pan update.
