We’re another month into 2020 and still hanging on in there. I mean, at times it’s definitely felt like the apocalypse is almost upon us, but for now, we’re still standing. Not only that, but I’ve actually made some pretty good progress with my project pan challenge this month. In some areas. In other areas, it was a complete and utter failure. But judge for yourself. Here’s my May project pan update.
May Project Pan Update
1. Rimmel Kate Sculpting Cosmetic Set
At the beginning of my project pan challenge, I was optimistic that I’d be able to use up both the blush and highlight from this set before the year was through. But, much like everything else in 2020, this isn’t exactly going according to plan and I’m still a long way off hitting pan on this one.
2. Revlon Balm Stain in Honey.
As we move closer towards summer, this lipstick has been getting a lot more love. However, since I’m still in lockdown and have no need to put on a full face of makeup every day just to watch Netflix in my living room, there’s still very little progress overall.
3. Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Pink Spice
Again, not much to report here. What’s the point in wearing lipstick when the only place I ever visit is my kitchen?
4. Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Heather Shimmer
I genuinely thought this lipstick would be over and done with by now. As it happens, I’ve made barely any progress with it again this month and it looks like I’m going to be battling this one for a while.
5. The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation in Dune
Clearly, you can’t see any difference here so you’ll have to take my word for it when I say this one is really and truly almost used up. Then again, I thought that at the end of last month so who really knows how much longer I’ll be trying to get to the end of this one?
6. Wet n Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Ticket to Brazil
Finally, a sense of satisfaction! This month’s progress isn’t quite as impressive as last month’s because I’ve barely been wearing makeup, but watching that pan grow fills me with a deep sense of satisfaction. I know that’s kind of sad, but I’m in lockdown and I’m bored so if I want to obsess over my bronzer, let it be.
7. Victoria’s Secret Fragrance Mist in Dream
I’ve made some good progress with this fragrance mist again this month. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to use it up before the Spring segment of my project pan is over unless I literally start bathing in it. But hey, we’ll see.
8.Bath & Bodyworks Body Lotion in A Thousand Wishes
I’m still using this lotion on a daily basis and still loving the scent. Clearly during a lockdown situation when you can’t be bothered to put makeup on, skincare is the way to go when it comes to using products up.
9. Revolution Fine Line Correcting Serum
I’m really down to the last few dregs on this one. The end is well and truly in sight.
10. Wild Mint Green Tea Clay Mask
And last, but certainly not least, my first real accomplishment of the project pan challenge 2020! I actually panned something! This face mask was perfect for mornings when my skin needed a little pick me up. It feels fresh and made my face feel awake. That said, it wasn’t the best at clearing up my skin or reducing the size of my (admittedly enormous) pores so, while I enjoyed it while it lasted, I won’t be repurchasing this one.
In a sense, my May project pan update has some of my best success stories so far what with me finally finishing up a product and making good headway with some others. On the other hand, a lot of my makeup products have next to no progress to speak of since most days I barely brush my hair anymore, let alone put on a full face of makeup. With just one month left in my Spring project pan challenge, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what June has in store.
Wow that was strange. I just wrote an incredibly long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Regardless, just wanted to say wonderful blog!
